2018 jl 880 tower speakers

If I order a new set of tower speakers from jl will they match the ones on my boat? Does Nautique have a special color they use? The reason I ask is online they’re listed as satin black but the speakers are more grey then black. Thanks

They will not have the down-lights, and I believe the color is different.

You could order a set, send me your factory ones and I will order you a second set from JL so you have matching speakers. : )

You may be able to pick up a new pair on the forum by a member selling a set . Many will sell the stock speakers than upgrade after they purchase their boat . I was able to get a pair of brand new 7.7. JL Audio in Nautique gray tone color to match the other set of my G23 on the forum . You should at least ask and see if any members will respond back to you if they may be selling a set

I had the same problem with my 18 last year. The ones that come from the factory are totally different than the ones JL sell via retail. The ones for the 18/19 tower are Nautique only. The brackets arent removable like the retail versions, the bracket/can are one piece with the down lights already installed. You will not be able to buy them from any JL dealer as they are OEM install only. You may be able to get a pair and have some brackets made to fit the 18 tower but JL doesnt have any that will work.

I will probably look at upgrading to the new JL M6 speakers that are on the '19. Don't really care if they are black if I replace existing. RGB lighting and a little more power handling. I kind of like the black better, as the Nautique ones scratch and show black through the paint.

Those brackets dont work for the 18 and up G23 tower, they dont dont currently have one, you maybe able to fab something or go the round portion of the tube.

OEM tower speakers are part of JL's OEM Catalog and not available through even authorized dealers. They don't have the same standards for fit or finish as retail parts either and are often painted different colors. One way to tell is to look at the product #, all OEM stuff starts with MCS i believe (ie MCS-770-sg-wh instead of MX-770-sg-wh)

M880etxv2 will fit the tower, idk about the mounts however on G series boats. Down cast lighting can be installed on any MX or M series tower speakers. Believe its $180 or $190 for the retrofit kit, which requires removing the speakers and drilling holes into the enclosure.
