    2013 G25 OEM Stereo Replacement

I am purchasing a 2013 G25 and the previous owner removed the original Clarion deck and installed an aftermarket deck which does not work with the linc system as well as the remote at the back of the boat.

I have done some research on this site and found a couple of Clarion units that work but they are all discontinued and I can't find them anywhere.

I am looking for a replacement that has bluetooth, will work with the linc system and the remote at the back of the boat.

Does anyone know where to find a Clarion M606?

Is the M608 (newest version) compatible?

I think I have a new head unit for a G at the house. I can check tomorrow evening when I return.

I had a '13 G25 and installed an M606 so I can confirm it works to gain bluetooth with LINC integration. It worked great actually. I would be willing to take chance and buy a M608. I am almost certain it would work too since its just a newer M606

Again, I can almost promise that the M608 will be plug and play. The M606 is confirmed to work and they don't reprogram the communication protocol, harness and connections with a simple model upgrade. If it was a completely new unit then I would be hesitant. Just buy a M608 from Crutchfield, install it and see if it works. Keep your packaging and box in good shape and return it if it doesn't work. Crutchfield has a 60 day return policy and you would just be out the shipping.

I believe the CMD6 is what came with the 13 Gs. When I was waiting on a warranty replacement I bought a CMD8. Certain functions worked with Linc like changing songs or volume. The link would not display text or the song name playing with the CMD8.

Just installed it. Plug and play. Works great with linc 2.0 and rear remote. Bluetooth shows song and artist, etc on all 3 devices. Only decision I have is sound setup. You can adjust all speakers (inside boat and tower) together or as 2 separate zones. For now I have them all treated equal. May need to change that setting. Still need to drill a hole for the Sirius XM antenna.

Hi, I saw this post and also went with the m608 as a replacement in my 13 g23. The bluetooth capability is awesome and I think it is a better overall HU for sure... however I am running into some issues. Whenever I use the linc system to change volume it only turns up zone 1 which is the boat speakers and the tower is completely shutoff. I know when you setup the HU out of the box it asks you if you want to use standard mode, tower mode, or zone mode. I think I have tried all of them and each one has given me small hiccups.Do you know which mode you are running on? Are you able to use your linc volume controls to turn up all speakers on the boat as normal? Have you done any other speaker/amp upgrades? Thanks

I use standard many mode. That replicates what i had before. One volume control for all speakers. I tried tower mode and it worked with two volumes from the head unit, but linc and rear remote only changed one, I believe. I thought that mode may be good for the party cove but have not played with it since.

Ill have to try standard mode then. I think I'm currently on tower but as I said the linc only controls one zone and the other zone seems to shut off the others for some reason. I thought it was either standard or multi zone that doesn't allow you to change the sub control as well. Let me know if you figure anything else out on your setup!

Just found this thread I am looking to upgrade my older clarion head unit to the M608 in my 2012 230 with the newer Linc system. Just curious if you all figured out the zone controls as far as in boat speakers, tower and sub levels ? Does the wired remote still work ? and does the level of the volume still adjust with the rise and lower rpms ?

I replaced the stock Clarion CD Head Unit with the Clarion M608 as well in my 2010 SAN 210. The bluetooth is great, and it works well with both the Linc 2.0 and wired aft remote. My only issue is that it really heats up on the left side. I believe that is where the heat sink is, but it seems too hot. I can only hold my hand on it for a few seconds. Has anyone else experienced this?

Just did the upgrade from on my 2013 G25. The M608 works perfect. Here's the trick on the zones. Setup the head unit to Tower mode. Connect the tower speakers to the Zone 4 input RCA's. Connect the Sub to Zone 3. You'll be able to control the Sub volume, Interior and Tower speakers all independently. Drivers screen displays whats playing and controls volume and track.
