2009 Super Air 230 Stereo Redo

Finished up my winter stereo project on our new boat after a flood last October totaled our 2002 Air.
Boat already had JL MX650 in boat speakers installed by prior owner who replaced stock polk speakers. , Boat also Came with Wet Sounds REV410 towers. Stock sub and all speakers were running off Polk factory amps.
I removed all amps and wires to all speakers and ran new Power, Ground, RCA, and Speaker wires.
Changed out dash remote and clarion head unit went with Wet sounds MC1 and MC-TR remote.
Also replaced amps with HTX-4 to run towers and JL RD 900/5 to run all in boat speakers and new sub JL w3v3 12". The Towers have a remote line level adjust so i can adjust volume from off to full.
I covered the original sub location with access hatch and put new sub where cooler area is located (I will post pics of sub next weekend when back at lake).
Had to redo the wet sounds towers because the rubber surrounds were all rotted through and they turned out great.
Very happy with this set up sounds amazing.

Just though I would share this with any one who might need ideas in the future.

I see 4 pair of speaker wires and a single pair of RCA connected to the HTX-4. What are you running on the tower now?

Ran just 1 set rca because i do not need to fade the towers. Still running the same towers that came with the boat. Connected tower wires the same as they were with the old amps. I might try bridging towers to get a bit more power but for now its loud enough for me.

So did you bypass the built in MC1 AMP and if so did you consider the cheaper MC2 since you would bypass the built in amp? I have a 2007 SV211 which looks similar to yours but I may not have the 5" room in the glove box. I will be using the stock AMP to drive the sub and speakers. No tower Wet Sounds yet but may want the built in to drive them. Any thoughts?

Biggest reason for the change out is BT. However, on the remote MC-TR, I want to be able to pause the streaming content on BT and start from where I paused. Does it do this?

The MC-1 is only 25W rms x 4 @ 4 ohm. OK for some in-boats, but less then ideal for tower speakers.

The MC-2 has same power output as the MC-1

The Remote will pause and allow you to start where you left off using the blue tooth streaming.

Here are the other pics of the sub location and towers.

I think i got the model wrong MLA don't know the model that corresponds to these if you could help that would be great. I think they might actually be 485's. they are 8's not 10's Click image for larger version
