2018 G25 tower speaker upgrade needed

I just picked up a 2018 G25 to replace my beloved SANTE 220. Minor upgrade...... But the tower speakers in the g25 suck, surfing at 15 feet we can barely hear them. Not surprised.

In my 220 I replaced the 6x9's with the WS HLCD drivers. Then I re-wired the whole boat audio system with lightning caps, better wires, sub enclosure, more amps, etc. So I'm not afraid to pull out the fluke, a soldering iron and a screwdriver (and a 6-pack) and get busy one Saturday.

I've been searching but everything I'm finding is centered mainly around Polk, not much on the JL Audio side.

I'm reading about the R1 tower speakers. Spendy, but then so was the boat, and I don't want a half-assed audio setup at this point. 2 pair? Add an amp? That's within the budget and skill set.

Lighting is new to me, but the wiring isn't, and I have no problem following a wiring diagram.

To my point, I'm looking for something that will give me some throw behind the boat. I still get blank stares in most conversations if I mention HLCD - have they gone away? I loved mine on the SANTE 220.

Any help, links to threads, is much appreciated. If you're around Rockport, Jordanelle or Deer Creek in Utah, hit me up.

One or two pair? Depends on the speaker type, size and wattage you power them with. 2 pair of 8" or 1 pair of 10" or larger.

Add an amp? Id certainly plain on a new amp for the tower speakers, if your existing tower amp is the 2 chnl polk.

I just put a pair of wet sounds REV 10's on my 2005 SANTE, they are HLDC, and sound beyond my expectations. I got a noise complaint my second week at my new campground because I was playing them while cleaning the boat. I'm not up on the newer G towers, but can only assume wet sounds make something for it.

If anyone has pictures and some additional details on adding rev 10s to an existing JL 8.8 tower setup (1 existing pair) that would be appreciated. We are looking to throw some additional SPL back to the surfers

Just bought a 2019 with JL Audio and two pair 7 inch Tower speakers. Sound quality is great but I can't hear them either. On my former Nautique I could hear just fine. I believe they are under powered. Expensive enough that I should not have to worry about this type of stuff.

TurboFan have you checked out Roswell's new R1 Pro Speakers? 200w RMS. 8" woofer w/side mounted 1" compression tweeter w/integrated protection circuit. Very loud and very clear!! Never been done before, translucent housing and Roswell has adaptors that mount directly to the G towers.

I’m in Utah and I’ve been looking for a second pair of the jl 8.8 if that’s what you have and are replacing them I’d be interested in them
