My friends and I have Samsung Galaxy phones - S4, S6… and we have an old IPOD classic in the boat. The cable on the IPOD is old but the phones I believe all have good cables. We have not been able to successfully link these devices with the MM100 over the USB music port. We always get a "connection timed out" annunciation after we hit the browse files icon on the link touch screen. I assumed we were just doing something wrong, however after reading the manuals it sounds like only USB hard drives and iPhones are supported. Is my assumption correct that Android OS and IPOD are not supported?

Wrong- The JL audio MM100 seems to be a piece of ****. Excuse my language but I'm very frustrated with this and it turns out that Natique knows this. It is a known issue. The USB port is known not to connect very well to lots of devices and when it does connect its features and usability are intermittent. It also seems to have difficulty communicating with the Nautique computer. My dealer was able to do a reset on my head unit. I have not been back in the boat but I am going to be curious to see how it fixes the issue or not.

I have not yet been able to connect any device through any usb port to my system. My boat was just at the dealer for service and I forgot to have them look at this

I have 2 new cables today for both phones and IPOD. Going to give it a try again today. As far as I know, only the USB in the glove box with the music symbol works for music data. The rest are only USB power except for the dealer port at dash.

Tried new cables and still had no luck. One phone would show as "no data files available (or something like that)" on linc. Another phone would act like it was downloading but linc would then show "connection timed out". Tried the iPod classic but had no luck there either. Guess I will crawl under the MM100 and see if I can find anything disconnected.

Today we tried an iPhone 6 over USB. Had the same scenario as the other devices. When you would try the Browse File select on the Linc we would get the connection timed out annunciation. Not sure what we did but after about 15 minutes of turning things on/off/plugging/unplugging all of a sudden the iPhone started working. Not sure what we did. Guess will try the other phones again now.

If you get back behind the headunit, you'll see that there's a USB junction wrapped up in there. I bet that's loose. It was on my 2017 from the factory. I pushed it together tight and then taped it up. Never had a problem after that.
