Got them up and running and lit! Only went white as I plan the LED controller (on the 230, there is no option for enhanced courtesy lights... but did mess around being a g boat for a few... totally messes up hydrogate though, so..yeah.)
For the GS tower mounts, you do have to grind a bit, but nothing drastic.
Most likely not prewired. but likely the easiest upgrade you could do to a factory JL MM100. Buy the remote, buy the cord, double check you don't need the remote Y cable, cut a hole and install.
Sorry about the 3 year delay, LOL. Yes. That is correct. it is not prewired, just buy the 25ft wire (I don't remember if it just came with it) I'm not a small person but I am ... neurotic about wire management, so I probably made it exponentially harder than it should have been. A straight wire following the upper hull... maybe 15 minutes? The hardest part was cutting into my boat... cause its' putting a hole in a boat, lol.
Only recommendation is to 1) tape off the area you are cutting the hole with painter's tape, and 2) run the hole saw backward so it doesn't crack the gel coat.
