Adding 2nd pair of JL 8.8 tower speakers

share pics of your finished project. my boat is going into the shop tomorrow - adding a stern thruster, but also adding an additional sub/2nd set of 8.8s on the tower. What did you end up doing with your old ones? Was looking for a set off someones boat vs buying new, but has been hard to find some.

Not a very good pic of the new install. Looks way better at night with the aqua LED lights on to match the hull. Had all the cup holder lights changed out to match as well. I might sell the original pair of 8.8s...deciding if I want to try and mount them on my pontoon bimini.

Hey all - I'm trying to figure out of the G-series towers are pre-wired for RGB LED lights that sync with the RGB cupholder lights ('Courtesy' on the Linc). I know they are pre-wired for the white speaker downlights ('Overhead' on the Linc), but thought I read they also were pre-wired for RGB LEDs, like speaker ring lights. For reference, I have a 2020 G21 with the enhanced courtesy lighting and the studio elite stereo with 4 JL M880s with downlights. Thank you for any info!

Adding to this thread as I've recently purchased and installed a 2nd set of JL 8.8s in the nautique enclosures. 2019 G23 - Studio Elite / Wavefront, 1 existing pair of 8.8s on tower

All I had to do was:
* Purchase a pin/connector set for 4 pin Deutsche connectors.
* Remove blank brackets / Crimp the pins on the wires in the tower / install Male deutsche connectors to the tower wiring.
* Install the 2nd set of speakers (speaker side already had connectors installed) - Bolt on enclosures & connect the Deutsche connectors.
* Enable the "2 tower speakers" option in dealer settings.

Notes:

Boat was OFF when I did the crimping & installation.

Boat's tower wiring: Tower speaker wiring was already connected to the amp & the unused channels matched the tuning settings of the channels that are currently in service. Did not need to change any of the settings on the amp for the inputs as it was already set up to use 1 RCA set to send signal to all channels on the AMP.
* Blue/Orange striped wire is used for the + Lighting connection, Black wire used for - Lighting connection
* Speaker wires were White/White with black stripe & Grey/Grey with black stripe. Black striped wires were the - ones.
JL's Tower Speaker wiring: Blue (+) and Yellow (-) lighting wires, Red (+) and black (-) speaker wires.
