    Complete Stereo Install '98 SNCB

I have a 98 SN that I am the second owner of, when I purchased the boat it did not have a radio in it, just a hole. Well I put a Jensen Marine CD player in it, and come to find out I only have the two rear speakers. Well I would like to upgrade my stereo, obviously. I want to put 2 10" subs on the Starboard side ledge in the ski locker. I dont think this will be a problem. Here's the question I would like to add 2 speakers to my boat, WHERE? All the 98's that I have seen have a Port side speaker in front of the love seat, I have a hole in the wood behind the interior, but there is a rail that will need to be cut. (Pic if I can get one to turn out) The rear speakers are done in this way. (I am a little scared to just punch a hole in my interior.) Does/Did anyone else have this same setup?

Also where is the speaker located on the driver's side? I was thinking about putting it on the kickplate??

Any suggestions, warnings, pictures, anything to help.

I am not set on this setup so if someone has a better idea bring it on I am very open to new things.

Oh, not looking for gelcoat cracking sound just, good sound that can be cranked if the right song is on. Ok, maybe a lil crack. Yellow_Flash_Colorz:

    Thanks all.

    RE: Complete Stereo Install

I'm in the same boat so to speak. LOL On the drivers side there is a speaker grill. I have not found a way to get behind it. I think you will find the rail was cut to fit the rear speakers also. I would just emulate that cut up front. Let me know how it goes.

well finally done!! I went with the set up described above. worked out great. I just need to get some subs for the front but the amp mount and new speakers rock the frickin' house.
