2004 SV211 Audio Help

I bought a 2004 211 last November and I really want to update the stereo. The previous owner did some work to it but I would rather get it current. Currently it has a BT Kenwood deck in the glove box, a kicker 10 under the helm, 4 kicker tower and 4 kicker interior speakers (bow seem to be original). I was hoping someone that knew what they were doing could suggest a path forward. I want to be able to control the stereo from the helm (transom and helm clarion remotes are disconnected). I want
to start with the interior and stay around 1000-1500 if possible. Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated!

I have an 02 SN that I updated with a clarion CMD8, Polk audio speakers and sub. I’m not to familiar with SV211, are you pulling everything out or are you reusing most of what’s there? If you plan on changing things around a whole lot, it will be some work to get them to fit and look good. -Michael

I went completely through my SV211TE and replaced 6 Polk tower and 6 Polk inside the interior of the boat with Polk MM-6501, replaced the 2 Clarion stock amps with 3 Kicker Marine amps, replaced the head unit with a Clarion CMD8. I had to replace the chrome oval surround for the control on the dash with a round style to accommodate the new style control pad. I replace all power wires with new heavier wire to carry more watts, new ground wires, new speaker wires for the tower and to all speakers in the boat. I replaced the 10” Polk sub with 12”. For all the amps I installed a rack. This is more than a weekend job. Best as a winter project. If you want to go back to original, you can advertise on PN, WTB, original double and single Air Nautique speaker cans for little to nothing. As you can see, to do it right it’s going to cost more than your budget, best to take and break it out in groups and do what you can afford each season. I don’t know about the control on the back of the boat, i know if you upgrade the head unit you will have to replace the controller. If it is cut out, you might be able to get a trim for the new controller. Good place for amps http:hifisoundconnection.com
