2015 G23 adding a sub under seats or rear locker

I imagine someone has done this. Looking to add some bass to the rear of the boat. Possible locations under seats or rear locker. Any advice would be appreciated.

OEM location(s) and vent the port mid-ship locker and helm, if you do a 2nd woofer under there as well. .

In 2015, I think is was a polk 4 ohm woofer intended to be in a small enclosure, but mounted infinite-baffle. Pretty poor setup. It was powered by a polk 5 chnl amp. I do not know what amp would have been installed on a boat that did not come with the woofer option though.

For an upgrade to the existing 4 ohm polk, we use a 2 ohm Wet Sounds FA woofer or Kicker FA woofer, as these are designed for infinite-baffle as well as we a pump in amp wattage going from the 4 ohm to 2 ohm. Stepping up from a 10 to a 12 is an even better upgrade.

I strongly suggest following MLA advice. I did in 2017, and am happy. After I measured I felt it would have been too much work to upgrade from 10 inch to 12 inch so stuck with 10 inch. but pulled the 4 ohm polk and installed 2 ohm free air sub. If you install a vent you will be happy.

It seemed too tight to get the 12 inch to fit in 10 inch hole. Maybe if you real good cutting you could. But not sure. I think Roswell makes a custom box that can go under their but I didn't want to lose space, and wanted the clean look of original mounting spot.
