Stock stereo and speakers on 07 SANTE

How satisfied was everyone with the stock stereo and speaker setups on the SANTE? I have a 220 and I feel as though it could be a little louder. I’m guessing the clarion amps came stock. Anyone have any advice as to how to spruce up this system or set it to be a little louder for surfing? Thanks

If memory serves me right, there is a 4 chnl amp that drives the 2 pair of main cabin speakers and the woofer. This leaves the bow pair on the head unit. If I wanted to really drive them to their potential, Id upgrade the 4 chnl to something like the Wet sounds SynDX-6. 100W rms all six in-boats and up to 600W rms for a 4 ohm woofer.

I have never been a fan of the head unit powering any speakers when possible. I have a 5 channel amp running my In boats, and sub, and a bridged 4 channel amp running my towers. I have been told to turn it down more times than turn it up, so i think i have enough volume, LOL

The speakers were the Polk Momos. Quality speakers. The easiest upgrade is the amp. The stock clarion amp doesn’t offer the most power. Do you have tower speakers as well ?

I have tower speakers that match the interior ones. They are the dual can speakers. Four total. Is hard to tell which wires are into my top amp and which are in the bottom.

Following this thread - especially related to what subwoofer setup to use.

I have a 2008 SANTE. Just replaced my 4 tower speakers from Dbot5 black and white pearls to two wetsounds rev10's. They are powered by a wetsounds syn4 amp - they sound terrific. For the interiors running them through an alpine pdx amplifier. I have two of these amps so I plan to run each speaker to it's own channel for 150 rms. Even in the stock configuration with the one amp they sound good - I only expect them to get better. Where the system is lacking is the subwoofer, I'm at a loss for what to do there.

I was just about to make a new topic post until I saw this. I am running into the same issue. I have no tower speakers but want to make the inside speakers sound better. Can I replace the current Clarion amp with something a tad better but not in the $800.00 price range? Also, Can I run the sub off its own amp to have more control of bass?

You can do just about anything you want.

If you want a decent amp get a Rockford P1000X5. less than $500.00

It has 5 channels, and you can run the front in-boats on channel 1/2 @4 ohms, the rear in-boats on channels 3/4 @ 2 ohms ( 2 4 ohm speakers in parallel per channel ) and the sub off channel 5. the sub will have a control knob you can mount for bass control.

Here is a video I came across awhile back but it might be a bit more than your looking to do. I’m in the process as parts become available of putting an exile system in my 06.

I found a Rockville 6 channel DBM 2500 w amp with separate sub control for 170+. Any good info on these?

No! Those specs are over stated by a LONG SHOT! Their products are basement level overseas imports. The reality is, the amp will deliver 220W RMS to a 4 ohm woofer bridged on 2 chnls or 75W at best, to each 4 ohm speaker.

You always get what you pay for. Might as well sell the Nautique and get a Moomba if you are going to go that route! LOL

Thats what Rockville banks on. They advertise Corvette HP at a Kia price tag, but in reality, they deliver Kia HP with Yugo quality.

In terms of real world wattage, all that amp is going to deliver is 660, not 2500. Say you are power 6 speaker, so one on each chnl, thats only 450 watts. Again, a far cry from their advertised 2500.
