Hey all, first post. Just bought a '13 G23 and looking for the stereo wiring diagram. The previous owner had a WS420 installed, but it only seemed to be controlling tower speakers (and did not appears to be working) The speakers all sound a little distorted no matter the source and the sub is not working. I'm trying to find the stock amplifier wiring and settings to set it back to stock to problem solve and then will hook back up the ws420. Anyone have diagrams or own a '13 G23 with the Polk 4 speaker package. Help....

Can't help with the diagram but if you're stock 4 speaker setup was like mine on my 2016 it'll be just the speakers directly attached to the head unit speaker outputs. Unfortunately going back to this configuration will probably do little to fix your problem. Since it would seem this is an aftermarket installation I would suggest the following to try and get a handle on what to do.....- Inventory all the installed hardware you have. Get the make and model of each component, amps, head unit speakers..... everything that's part of the system. This will give you a better idea as to the quality of the instillation and a possible idea as to how it was installed.
- Once you have the inventory decide what's good and staying and what's not. More on this later.
- If you don't have the instillation/owner's manuals for all the gear you're keeping, go online and get it. You'll need it later for the re installation.
- Trace and document all power wiring and draw it out to create your current installation diagram. You'll need to know it's size, quality, source and how protection is designed into the circuit. You'll want to do the same with any speaker or wiring that didn't come with the boat.
Most times that I'm dealing with these installation that we're installed by the PO I've found sub standard installation materials, components and poor or non existent set up. I've seen chap car stereo amps, lamp cord and wire nuts used in the installations as well as balls of electrical tape on random wires going nowhere.
Time to dig in, figure out what you have and make a plan.
Like they say "if you don't know where you're going with a project chances are good you'll never get there".

bturner appreciate the thoughtful response. New to Nautique so forgive me, I don't know the package name but this boat stereo is all factory, the only change is that a WS420 was put in between the twoer speaker RCA from the HU and the Polk 4000 Amp. I believe it's just the RCA's hooked up wrong, I will investigate today and document the wiring.

Im with bturner. I do not believe the tower speakers and amp are factory installed. IIRC, tower speakers were not an a-la-carte option. They came after you stepped up to the 3rd pair o fin-boats, woofer and 5 chnl amp. If you want to take the 420 out of the loop, you just need a pair of female x female RCA adapters. Unplug the main-in and tower-out rca from the back of the 420 and connect them together. At the same time, look and see of there are any RCA connected to the in-boat ports on the back of the 420.

MLA This is the factory option with the two amps - one 5000.5 that powers the boat and sub, and then 4000.4 that powers the tower. The HU has 6 RCA outputs, two are labeled AUX out, those appear to be used, is that the sub out? I did not think that the HU had a sub out.
I'd like to wire it so that the boat is not as loud as the towers since we have kids. Would use the 420 for the tower speaker so that I can leverage the PA too. So one set of RCA's directly to the 5000.5 for the boat speaker and sub, the other set of RCA's to the 420 for the tower with the output to the 4000.4. Not sure if I use the Aux?
Sound right?

Sorry, missed the part about a subwoofer and only saw a reference to one single amp.
I would suggest you download the WS-420 manual and read up on how it works. It will do what you want. The manual will also aid in determining if its connected properly, to make full use of its features.
