Voltage as always been fine per the gauges.
Not looking for low system voltage on a gauge, but a slight difference in voltage between audio components to cause the noise.

Yea, for sure, I get it. My point being there was nothing before I installed the stereo that would indicate that there would be a voltage difference or issue at the switch. Should have taken out the volt meter before running the wire! I'll probably be back out at the boat in a month or two and will test it all out then.

I know this is a few months old, but what are your gains on the amps set at? If the whine noise doesn't adjust with your RPM then you most likely have your gains turned up too much and that's your problem. Ground loop and or dirty power sources usually adjust with RPM, over gain on the amp will not.

Any luck getting the issue solved?

Blamey I re-ran the power and ground directly to my auxiliary battery, then wired the head unit and the WS-420 to the distribution blocks so that everything was getting 12V power and ground from the exact same source. Took away 99% of the problem.
