I recently purchased a 2016 G23. The stereo has an odd buzzing static sound. It’s always there when the stereo is on regardless of what input is selected and regardless of whether there is audio playing or not. The buzzing static is coming from every speaker on the boat. When you play music it becomes nearly imperceptible as the volume is turned up but it’s still there.
Does anyone have any idea what might be the issue? Is it possible the Polk head unit is bad? I looked all over for a loose or poor connection and couldn’t find one. I imagine a loose ground could cause something like this. Anyone know where the grounding locations would be to check? Does anyone with the same system have the same sound? Is it just the way it is (I really doubt it but I’m looking for any information)?
