WakeSlayer Any pictures would be appreciated. I looked at the Harmon Kardon and it does look sweet. I found a Phono preamp for 25bucks that may work I need to wait for clubmyke to get back to try it. Ill keep everyone posted.

I have heard of folks using only an EQ and an ipod before their amps.

jeepn, no volume control on the unit. It is really a super fancy Fm transmitter. Most places selling the unit include the transmitter cable ($30), so it is hardwired to the deck as opposed to actual air signals. It completely overrides even a used broadcast station.

Rick, I will take a couple pics this weekend. I have the control knob on the deck above the throttle and a little forward. This was also a good way to cover the whole from where the old CC Cruise was mounted at the factory (which was a dumb place to put that in the first place) And the display is mounted between the dashpod and the windshield. Looks great, the control knob lights up bright blue at night, the display panel has contrast and back light control, and an AUX input for "other" MP3 players.
I have the brain mounted on my kickpanel next to my amp, above the heater ports.
It transmits slightly lower powered than my deck would play a CD, or run the changer at, so I tuned up my amp to the H&K and just have to watch it if I ever put a CD in , which is pretty rarely.
This unit literally is your Ipod, all playlists, random play, etc features carry over to it from your IPod.
