    2008 sv 211

I am looking to do a full stereo upgrade for my 2008 sv211. When I got the boat it didn’t have tower speakers they were removed by previous owner. So they would
be my first purchase. I don’t know where to go beyond that with out spending an exorbitant amount of money.
Any recommendations on the following would be great
head unit and the driver control?
    Amp?
    Speakers?
    Sub?

    Thank you.

You need to set a budget, and order of components you want to buy. Just remember you get what you pay for.

This is my setup: 05 210 SANTE

New Rockford RX5000 Hideaway Head Unit / Dash Remote / Transom Remote
2 Rockford Amps ( P1000X5 for Boat, P600X4 Bridged for Tower Speakers )
6 Wet Sounds Revo 6 Interior Speakers
2 Wet Sounds Rev10 Tower Speakers w/ LED Rings
    Wet Sounds WS420 EQ
Revo 12FA mounted on the side of the observers seat in the pass-through

Did you put the head unit back in the glovebox? And did it come as a package? I saw you post about your boat it came up when I searched the head unit model in google. it looks awesome. Great job.

I did not put it in the stock place. I actually just left the stock clarion in there since I had nothing to fill the hole with at the time. The main unit is just a box, there are 3 remotes that come off it. I have one on the helm, one on the transom, and the main one under the gunnel. You can see it in the pic below.

The unit I have has been discontinued. I purchased it off eBay 2 years ago for something like $115 buck with all the remotes and stuff. I wasn't going to use one, just a Bluetooth unit, but got it for such a good deal on it i went this way.

JL, Wet Sounds, and a few others have similar units still available.

Thank you for the info I was looking more last night and saw clarion makes a single din unit still to replace it I believe it’s m508 and a remote that goes to the helm also.

Just did a full upgrade to my 2007 SV211 Team - used a local professional to do the full install. Decided to go with Rockford PMX3 head unit - that I had mounted at the helm. I'm not a huge of a volume control not being on a dial. Most of the remote helm units are push button up/down. So the PMX3 was my personal preference - I eliminated the unit in the glove box and control everything from the helm. Had to modify the helm a little to make it fit, but I think it came out just fine. Also added a separate dial/volume control for the tower speakers, had to make some compromises on fading/balancing speaker levels - needed to keep the pricing somewhat reasonable. So I can run my 6 inboat speakers independent of the towers. Happy to share pics if anyone is interested in the modification at the helm with the PMX3 and separate volume dial for tower speakers.

Would love to see pics of how you fit that on the helm! Working on the same boat, thanks!

Here you go, looks clean and neat - not original matching but I like the ability to have a dial volume control at the helm and this did the trick.
