I am trying to find the best option to replace the original Polk sub in my 210.

    Does anyone have recommendations?

    thanks

What’s the purpose of the replacement? Is the speaker blown? Just not enough for you? Your rationale determines which results suit you and your application best.

The original Polk mm was blown. I am looking just to replace with something similar.

      Thanks!

Another MM1040 Polk sub or JL Audio M6-10ib or Wet Sounds FA 10 are all good choices.

if its installed through a wall and with no enclosure, then you should go back with a true IB woofer. If its in an enclosure, then go with a woofer intended for a small enclosure.

Another option to add to the mix, would be the Kicker KM10 or KMF10. The "F" denotes the free-air version. They offer a 2 and 4 ohm version so you can best match the amplifier.

I have a 2012 San 210 which had the polk sub as well. I noticed a lot of distortion coming from the sub as the wall is not thick enough to prevent the sub from rattling. I just recently bough the JL m6-10ib and put it in the same spot and it sounds great. I did have to buy two 10" MDF spacing rings from amazon which were only 20 dollars. The reason for this is that the JL sub is too deep to run without the spacing rings. These MDF rings also made the wall the sub mounts to stronger which made the sound so much cleaner.

Id toss those MDF rings and fab some out of HDPE. That MDF will be like s sponge in that humid environment.

I think we have decided to get the Wet Sounds REVO 10 FA.

Does anyone have experience with this sub?

                thanks

Yes, why is this your choice? Whats the available amp wattage, is the woofer using the boat's cavity as its enclosure?

The original Polk amps are in the boat. The previous Polk sub I think was 300 watts. This is the sub that is by the drivers seat and does use the boats cavity as its’ enclosure.

                    Thanks MLA
