We have had our new build 2021 G23 since March and have approximately 4 hours on it. The stereo and speakers worked fine for those few hours that we were on it. We went to turn it on one day and the screen says “no stereo detected” We feel like we have tried everything. We’ve disconnected the batteries, reset the stereo setting by the battery disconnect switch, checked the inline fuses and they were good but those were the only fuses we could get to. My dealer who I talked with last Monday said they were ordering a new cord that goes from the head unit to the stereo. My question is this...so this boat is only 2 months old...how does a cord go bad in that amount of time? Is this a common thing for Nautique? And has anybody else had this problem with a brand new boat? This is the second weekend in a row we didn’t take the boat out because of this and still don’t know how long it will take to fix something like this?

This is not unheard of. My guess is that the cable was loose and has come disconnected either at the LINC system or at the stereo end.
Are you able to control the stereo from the head unit in the glove box? I would bet you can.
Certainly no reason not to use your boat!

The stereo in the glove box unit will not power on either. It did at first and then would shut down. Its our choice not to use the boat at the moment with no stereo. Obviously we know we can use it. It just sucks really bad to pay over 200k for a boat 2 months ago and can’t play music.

I took delivery of a 2021 GS22 early this spring. The stereo worked fine during the walk-thru. I got the boat home and the stereo would not work. "Stereo Not Detected" was the Linc screen error that I had as well. After some diagnosing the dealer ended up ordering a new JBL head unit and installing it. The dealer said this was the 2nd one they have had with this issue (not sure over what time period). Tech said it was a fixable problem with the head unit but it was easier for Nautique to fix it then have a tech fix it on site. I was able to get mine replaced prior to the season starting. It sux not having tunes on the water - I hope yours is fixed soon!

Mine ended up being the 2nd battery under the port seat. It didn’t have enough charge for the stereo to start up. Apparently there is a knob you turn on the main battery to keep this from happening. It had nothing to do with the head unit. Yours may have been a simple fix. They thought mine had the same problem as yours.
