Audio on only one side of boat speakers

    Hello,

We have audio only coming from one side of the "cabin speakers". If I switch the RCA cables for that specific amp then the sound will go to the opposite side and only work on that side. The RCA cables come from a Wet Sounds Equalizer (WS-420SQ). If I switch the RCA cables at the back of the equalizer, same symptoms, sound only on one side. With new RCA cables- same exact symptoms. If I run the RCA cables for the tower amp out of the "cabin speakers" RCA ports on the equalizer then both tower speakers work. If I plug the RCA cables from the tower amp into the "cabin speaker" amp then only one side of the "cabin speakers" work.

System was installed by Hydrotunes in New Braunfels, Tx. sometime before we bought the boat.

    Bad amp? Thoughts?

Amp is a JL Audio M600/6

yes, sounds like a bad input on the m600/6. are you able to remove the cover on the m600/6 and move the input selector switch to 4 channel or 6 channels?

I eliminated the head unit by going from my iphone as the source to the RCA on the equalizer, still only had audio on one side of the boat. Then I eliminated the equalizer by going from my iphone as the source straight to that specific amp. I had to have the boat stereo/amp on so that the amp would have power. From my iphone directly to the amp I had sound on both sides, pointing to a bad output/input from the equalizer. Ordered a new equalizer, wired it up and now have sound on both sides of the boat.
