Hard time deciding on tower speakers

I recently stumbled across a pair of Wet Sounds ICON 8 used for $420. Do I get the ICON 8s or buy 4 New Polk Audio 692DB with cans for the same price? Any info would help. Thank you.

I don't know anything about the Polk's but I had a set of Wet Sounds and they were great. I'd be hard pressed to pass up the Wet Sounds for Polk's but again I no nothing about the Polk's.

If they were Rev's It would be a no brainer, but Icons are more like the Polks, being just standard component speakers . I think 4 6x9 would be louder than 2 8's.

Thank you Stevemo14 and bturner. I wish they were Revs. I’ll probably go with the 4 Polk Audios. I appreciate it.

If you are looking for replacement drivers for the OEM cans i'd recommend the REV696RS. They fit well and are considerably less money than the REV 8s, and perform close to the same level as the REV8s. I don't believe either polk or ws grills will fit if in the factory cans
