10" or 12" sub

Re doing my Audio on a 2008 SAN 230. Currently have two 10" in a box under the Port rear stern seat and they are just 'ok'... I have the option of doing a single 12" next to the trash can in the walk through, or doing a 10" there, and a 10" behind the drivers seat on the side helm panel. I am worried about vibration noise from the metallic panel there under the shifter/throttle. What are others best design for this? I am wondering if the single 12" in the walkthrough would be as good if not better than the two in a box under the seat.. These would be Kicker KMF 12" 4 ohm... Appropriate Fusion amps - professionally installed.
I had a 2009 that had the sub behind the drivers seat and it was great, but it seems like it had it's own mount just behind the drivers seat... Like I said, I am just concerned about vibrations.

Thank you... I am being recommended a 'free air' 12" sub - and mounted firing out, in the walkthrough, so maybe a single 12" will be fine..

I put my 12" in the walk through, and it works really well. A 12 is tight though.

In my 2008 210 I had one 12 inch sealed port side way in the back, and in the G21 i pulled out all the stock stuff out and had one 2 ohm 10" wetsounds free air. AND believe me you only need one sub if properly powered.

You may not be putting enough power to the subs now. Remember these are subs so the don't necessarily have to be seen to be heard.

two 10"s have more cone area than a single twelve. they need to be properly tuned and powered to see the biggest benefit. Make sure you have a subsonic filter on the fusion amps sub channel or you may need to do a band pass filter.

Thanks for the feedback gentlemen! I had the 2 10's in a sealed box in the port rear compartment and I am wanting that area back for storage. I am confident the shop that Orlando Nautiques uses (Next Level) will power the sub properly. I am generally along the same lines of fine with them being hidden, and would have liked to do 2 10's, but the 2008 SAN didn't come with a place for a sub behind the driver, and if we modify the panel, it still has too much to vibrate and THAT I don't like. I told them do just do the single 12 near the trashcan in the walk through. Hoping it sounds good. I am confident. I want it to be nice tight bass you can feel, for a wide range of music, from new country to old - to new progressive dance music, to some old school skate music. Not a big rapper fan but that's just me. And I don't need to feel it 100' behind the boat. Just want quality in the boat and immediate area if hanging out.

Id take a direct radiating IB 12 over two 10's in an insulated closed locker.

An IB setup will consume the least amount of useable storage. If the 12" will fit, go with the 12" over a 10" More leverage without the need for added amp wattage. If you are open to losing some storage, consider a 12" in a ported enclosure and vent the walk thru wall with the woofer firing right through the vent. More output then an IB 12 but less space consumed then two 10's in a single large enclosure.
