    2018 210 with mm1000 'no stereo detected'

Well this sucks. Took our 2018 210 out yesterday and the stereo (mm100) will not power on. Nor do the amps get power (green led not turning on) checked all connections as well as fuses and they look good. Has anyone been able to fix this? Is my head unit broke? Very disappointing considering it's not very old so hoping I don't have to replace. Any help would be appreciated.

Is there 12 volts across the + and - wires at the amp terminal? If so, make sure there is also 12v across the switch connection (smaller red wire) and the - terminal.

The amps will NOT turn on if the headunit won't turn on. The headunit triggers the amps to turn on. So let's start there. Get under there with a voltmeter and figure out if the headunit is getting power and is grounded.

I put a multi-meter on the 5 amp fuse at the back of receiver and it showed 12.54 volts. I also have power to the amps. The stereo receiver will not turn on.

Anything else anyone would suggest to check or is this more than likely a dead head unit? Does anyone know of a direct plug&play replacement as it doesn't look like they make the mm100s anymore. Will the JL Audio MediaMaster 105 be a direct replacement that won't require any software updates?

Did you try replacing the fuse in the head unit? Even if it looks good, it's cheap enough to try it.

I ordered a jl mm105 as a replacement. If anyone has any insight or thinks this might not work, pls let me know.

The 105 should be fine. There were minor changes from the 100s to the 105.

So I installed the mm105 and have power and audio again! Yay! However, the connection on the mm100s for the CAN is different. On the new mm105 there is a round NMEA/CAN plug. How do I handle this? I think this is why I'm only able to control my stereo with the head unit.

I'm told by Nautique that the MM100s is the only head unit that will work with my LINC panoray. That sucks! The only way to get an mm100s is through NautiqueParts and it costs more than what the updated MM105 costs. Very disappointing that I'm chained to this MM100s that as I understand it is no longer made. So I guess that means I need to return the mm105.

that is 100% NOT correct. I had a 2017 with the Polk head unit. I upgraded to the Alpine with no problems. if alpine is no longer making that unit, how is nautique still using them in the boats if they are supposedly the only ones that work with Linc??
i bet there is an adapter cable. call alpine, then maybe call other dealers.

That is interesting. Is your LINC the touchscreen panoray? I think they changed them around that time right? I pointed out this site to Nautique https://www.planetnautique.com/Corre...erRetrofit.pdf and mentioned the adapter depicted as 180141 (which looks like what I need) but was told that even with proper adapter it will not work. Specifically what I was told was even with the correct adapter the software won’t communicate with the MM105.

yes. in 2017 my GS20 came with the Linc Panoray touch screen and the Polk head unit. I bought the Alpine unit and all the necessary cables, etc... The dealer installed it, unsure if there was a software update they did.
The screen was identical to the one in my 2019.

Myself and other JL Audio dealers still can get MM100s. In fact, I have two in stock right now, BNIB. PM if you are having trouble finding one.

Secondly, I would almost bet you could connect a 105 in the same manner and it would work with the LINC screen. The newer boats are able to select a different source unit throught a dealer menu in the LINC screen
