Has anyone seen this http://www.wakefx.com/ ? Looks interesting. I have my $1.00 holding my reservation. I ask when they thought it would be released and was told late May. Would be very helpful for when it's just 2 of us on the boat.

Looks like more trouble than it's worth to me. Just another gadget to get in the way and to have to deal with. Managing the rope, even when it's just me in the boat driving, isn't really much of a problem IMO.

Well, you have to give them credit for thinking of something and producing it. While I might not think much of the product, I do applauded the effort. Not something for me. I'll save that cash for gas and beer instead.....

Compared to what a set of tower speakers cost I didn't think it was horrible at 500. Especially since the kids are in college and it just me and the wife on evening runs. Oh well to each their own I guess.Last edited by Laketexoma; 03-25-2023, 04:00 PM.2016 G23 H6

That's awesome, love the comments!
Just when you thought they have thought of everything, a novelty for sure.
We have to have a 2nd person spotter in Idaho (most of the PNW States I believe), so they have the rope duty. But it's interesting even with a boat full of people you find yourself yelling at someone to grab the rope.
Thanks for the post, let's us know how it works out for you Laketexoma.

We're the same here but do the "outlaw runs" quite often on my friends boat but he's on a private lake that very rarely sees any law enforcement. That and we're both fully seasoned watersports boaters. Would I surf with just the wife? Not if I wanted to stay married or all my appendages. She's solid for slalom and wakeboarding by herself but a weighted boat can be a handful for even experienced drivers. There's a lot going on when surfing and doing the driver, observer and rope tending duties.

I just saw this one online today and it looks really good. No way I am paying that kind of money for it but i like that it mounts to the factory tow point instead of on the side of the boat.
