Stereo upgrade 2001 SN JBL MR29

Wondering what people are doing to replace the stereo headunit in the 2001 MY Ski Nautique?

I'm not sure if this is factory or not... Looks oddand I have no idea how to remove it.

Not sure if that is factory or not - pretty sure they were all Clarion units in the era. Someone may have put the JBL in as a possible upgrade? The two plastic end pieces should 'pop' or slide off to reveal screws or machine screws. (on either end of the face)

I think you may be right. I'll pop those pieces off and see what I find! thanks

Here's the before and after pics once ASA Electronics helped me out. The entire side panel was taken loose to access the back side.

One rocker switch controls power to the stereo and the other turns the speaker LED's on/off.
