For some reason, my OG 2004 model year Clarion XMD3 head unit suddenly lost the rear channels. Has worked great for years. Swapped the amp outputs (running RCA outs to a 4 channel amp) and the problem follows the head unit outs so 99% sure it's the Clarion.
Anyone have any suggestions anything I might do to restore the channel? I looked for external channel level fusing and didn't see any. My planned workaround at the moment is a use a 1 into 2 RCA splitter cable to drive my four channel amp. I will loose my fader but it's a better solution than having to replace the entire head unit.
I'd prefer to not have to replace the head unit with a new model one as 1 / I like the dash control and 2 / I have the legacy oval dash control panel which won't work with any of the new circular dash remotes.
Or...if you're sitting on an old working head unit, I could be a buyer.
