    Tower speaker relocate

quick question. my tower speakers are mounted in the narrow spots. i would like to move them to the outer locations. are the connections a simple plug and play or is it more complex than that? i haven't taken a look yet.
    thanks

to answer my own question, it is not a simple relocate, plug and play. the wires at the speakers are terminated into deutsch plug. the wires at the outer holes are just blunt ends. i would have to depin and move the connectors or buy new ones and rewire

after further investigation. the deutsch connectors are just pig tails spliced into the factory wiring about 6" back. so i will cut and splice the pig tails onto the wires at the outer tower mounts. should be pretty easy

To make life a little easier, do a search for Deutsch DT 4-pin Pigtail Kit, these are available on the Amazon. Mine are a 4-pin for lights & speakers, double check yours.
If you do any type of 12V electrical work (accessories, etc.) you will want an assorted kit of raw connectors for future use. These do come in handy, fun to do, and add a professional flair to your work, not to mention protecting connections from the elements. For occasional use, a cheap set of Deutsch Crimpers will do. If you find yourself using these quite often you will want to spend a few bucks more for a quality crimper.
Good luck with the noggin splitters relocation.

Wait, how many boats do you have? Lol
You'll want to buy an assortment kit...
