    Amplifier ground

Where is everyone grounding their amplifiers when mounted under the bow of a 196? And, is it generally grounded with the stereo's ground as well?

    Thanks!

I grounded both my amps straight to the negative side of the battery as well and haven't had a problem yet. It shouldnt really matter where you ground it (negative side of battery or engine block) because the battery should be already connected to the engine block. Please correct me if I am wrong. -MG

Depends on a few factors like amplifier size, battery size, alternator size... In most cases if the electrical system is adequate then it doesn't really matter, battery or block. My system runs off golf cart batteries so everything is connected to the batteries, then the batteries connect to the charging system with dedicated cabling (via a battery combiner). That way it does not lose voltage through the battery to block cables.
