Speaker help please!

Hey, I hope someone can help me out? I am looking to upgrade the kicker speaker system out of my 03 TE. Can anyone tell me the model Polk speaker standard in the 06/07 TE boats? I'm told they might be the mmc 650, but the Polk site lists these as a "car" audio not boat speaker. Also, I'm not sure if I should mount new speakers behind the existing upholstered grill or front mount new speakers. I don't want to screw up the style of my boat by making the wrong choice. What do y'all think?

keep them behind. then use any speaker that suits your fancy and $$$

I have a SANTE 2005 , not sure if they are using the same stuff in the 2006 series. I have the team edition stereo with the tower speakers and the subwoofer.

If you look here on page 7 it is mentioned that they are indeed the MMC650's

Here is another person who redid his 2004 SAN. I think the upgrade is worth it, looks much nicer.
But that is personal of course.

PJ, WVIVEEN..Thanks for the feedback. As much as I like the polk speakers, i have decided to mount new speakers behind the existing grills to retain the original styling of the boat and to keep the upgrade simple. Thanks again!
