I'm looking to replace my stock clarion deck with a new deck and I'm not sure what i should replace it with. I want something that will be able to play an Ipod and CD's. Also it is located on the right hand side of the driver should I worry about it getting wet, do I need a water proof deck? Thanks for the suggestions and help.

I just redid the audio in my 98 Air Nautique. Went with the Kenwood KDC-MP435U head unit. Real sharp, nice controls, it has a front USB port and rear aux input...both work with the ipod and you can also plug in a USB thumb drive if you want. It also has a specialized cable for ipod connectivity but I'll just stick with the USB or regular aux for now. USB treats the ipod like a mass storage device and you can choose songs from the head unit, but it also charges the ipod which is nice. Here is a pic for that head unit:

Aye it's a very nice unit, lots of options and flexibility, nice remote, USB right up front and rear aux input as well. I've seen them I believe under $150 on ebay you can find them really cheap if that's something you'd consider buying. Which is a steal IMO for what you're getting.Comment

is the clarion in the 2001 the same as the 2002 super air ? if so does everything work on yours and are you looking to sell it, and how much? my cd player does not seem to be working on my clarion in my 2001.Comment

Mine is actually working some what,sometimes it will read the cd and other times it says err.I want to clean the inside of the cd player and see what happensComment
