Which hellroaring setup?

Could I get some input as to which diagram I should follow when I install my Hellroaring BIC-9300A?

I will be running two Optima blue D34M's, a PPI 4125, MTX 524, JL 500/1, heater, tower lights, and some other various goodies all drawing from the battery.

I asked the guy from hellroaring which one I should run with, and he didn't give me an answer (he recommended all three setups).

But I just wanted to see if anyone on here uses the hellroaring and which way you set it up - I'm thinking that I will either run with the Starting battery Isolation, or the basic battery backup setup. But can I get some input from you all who more likely than not know more about this that me :grin:.

I forgot to add that I am running a 140amp Delco Marine alternator as well.

So, I think I'm going to go with the Starting Battery Isolation.

Has anyone used these? If so, which setup did you go with? I'm just looking for some input on anything that anyone has to offer.

I have been advised against isolator several times (not sure why) so I just ended up using a Perko switch....where did you purchase your Delco Marine Alternator? $$??

I bought the alternator from a guy on Wakeworld. But he got it from www.dbelectrical.com, they have a few different setups for marine alternators.

I set mine up using the starting battery basic isolation model, and it has been great. I might even add one to my 236. The Hellroaring products are the best!

Did you basically leave the original battery wiring completely stock, and then just redirected the alternator power wire to the new battery?

As I understand it (could be totally wrong), is that with an isolator, if one battery goes bad it can cause the other battery to go bad also.

Alright, I have one more quick question.

When I install the new alternator, it's a 140amp Marine delco, can I just run one 1/0 AWG power wire from the alternator + post to a 150 amp breaker, and then run the wire straight to the + post on the battery? Or does the alternator need to have the power wire run through the starter (so the flow would be Alternator-150 fuse-starter-'+battery' post)?
