Tower Speakers

I have ordered my 211 Team without the speakers. I read in some thread the speakers were not near as good as Wet Sounds or a couple of others. Love some input.

I did not order the Defcon III's for my 210 either. CC charges an extra 2 grand for the pair of double cans and second 2 channel amp. I picked up the same 4 channel Clarion amp that CC uses for amp 1 from eBay for $130 and purchased a set of Skylon Rubicon 250's from Wakeside.com.

I will use two of those channels on the new amp for the tower speakers and then rewire the two bow speakers that are just plugged straight into the radio to the other two channels.

I'm coming out about $650 cheaper than if I had ordered the factory cans. The Rubicons will project sound much better than the Polks because they are horn driven. I do think the Defcon's look better but I cover my tower speakers with speakersox anyway.

I ordered with my 2006 210 and recently sold the Nautique speakers - I read a lot of info and Just added the NVS Entitys - moved the bow speakers to the old tower clarion - added a kicker 850.4 for the Entity setup - I did not have the option of listening to any of these speakers before purchase - from what I read the wet sounds are very similar - I am 100% satisfied with the NVS - The sound quality is far better than I had expected and goes way beyond the Nautique setup with the Polks
