    Blue Tops vs. New Alt

I'm in the process of putting four tower speakers on that I just purchased. They are four tantrum rockford fosgate speakers that'll probably put out somewhere around 1200 watts peak combined. They are all 4 ohm speakers and are similar to the Polk's.

    Here's my questions:

    1. What amp is everyone using that they would reccommend? Probably a good 4 channel. I want to get the most out of the speakers.

    2. I'm pretty sure I'm going to run into a power issue. I have a '03 216 TE and when I run pumps, heater, stereo, and lights, my volt meter drops pretty low. Would you upgrade the amp first or would you start by throwing two blue tops in?

I'd like to hit the nail on the head the first time without spending the better part of my summer digging adding this, that, and the other to make it work right.

Any help here would be great!

    Thanks.

    Jarod.

Batteries only store electricity, Alternators create it. If you are using more watts than your alternator is making, battery capacity will only make you run longer before the battries go dead.

Factory alternator 100 amp?- two factory Interstate batteries - Power consumption is factory clarion 480 - factory clarion 280 - kicker 750.1 and kicker 850.4 - I can run the stereo for at least two hours and not a hesitation during starts - I have yet to run into starting problems but am considering adding a blue top just in case
