Question about poly-fil for sub enclosure.

Well, this past weekend I think my wife got a little greedy with the volume while I was riding and one of my JL's torn the surround. I'm replacing both subs... I had 2 - JL 10W04's and I'm going with 2 - Kicker Comp VR 07CVR102. I'm running a Kicker KX700.5 amp. I know the amp is going to be underpowered for these new subs, but they were priced well plus free shipping through Crutchfield.com and they will perform better in marine applications.

Also, my box is slightly small. It measures 1.51 cubic feet and the CVR's require .8 cubic feet minimum per sub which equals 1.6. I'm wondering if a little poly-fil will be a good choice fo my application. The box is sealed as well. I kind of like having tight bass because I listen to more rock than hip-hop. What are your views? :?:

With the smaller box you will get a tighter bass, but you will loose some of the low end bass. Poly-Fil is always a good choice for box filler material, I believe that it even recommends using poly-fil.
