ipod CeNet

Does anyone know what the iPod CeNET Controller is? I want to be able to control the iPod through the stereo but I haven't heard of this component. Also, I have a '07 211TE w/o tower speakers, I want to get the best sound out of the stock sub, can anyone tell me what setting they have found to achieve that. It seems like I am getting more bass out of the speakers then I am out of the sub! I tried turning up the bass gain on the amp and it didn't seem to phase the sub at all. I turned on the A-Loud and it sounds good but I also don't want to overload the speakers and distort them. I will probably be running the volume around 17 to 20.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated!! Thanks!

I hook up my ipod to the rca jacks and run the stereo that way. I find it faster to pause the ipod and control volume with it. i just set the volume on the stereo and then do everything with the ipod. I did run the rca cable to the drivers side by going under the floor and then up undr the dash. Then a short rca cable fromt the ipod to the factory rca cables. Then get a dash mount from bestbuy etc and put your ipod right above the keyless pad. I have messed around with my settings on my amps. I will look and see where they are set. Generally the bow speakers are not run into the amp. I set mine up that way.

Thanks Jeff! I ran my iPod that same way in my 206 but it sounded good in theory of being able to control it through the remote on the dash. I was just getting ready to run a cord over to the drivers side when I came across that CeNET thing so I thought I would check into it before getting too carried away, so far everyone that I have talked to doesn't know anything about it.

Actually, now that I read the reviews on that site, I am reconsidering. Maybe it isn't as good as I thought.

Very happy with it. Easy install and it has something in it to disable the i-pod volume. You control volume through the head unit only. The only other thing I would consider is the harmon kadon unit. I didn't go that way because I didn't want to add a screen and a controller to the boats other controls. This just lets me plug in the ipod, charge/play from boat power and control from the ipod wheel.

I was told the problem with the cnet is you can only control 5 playlists not everything on the ipod.

ipod cenet connector for CMD5

I just ordered the EA1276 connector, which is supposed to be the same as the EA1251 to connect iPod to headunit.

The supplier called back and said this item has been replaced by Clarion and updated for a better interface. They sent me the new Clarion adaptor, but I don't have the part number. I will have it in a day or so, so I'll post what it is and how it looks like it works.

I bought the $3.99 Target RCA adapter and I have my Ipod Video in a Otterbox waterproof case.
Total cost: $53.99
With the long RCA cord I can control all the functions from my seat

If you have on '07 and get the right ipod controller it works well (there are two different ones that hook to the CeNet connector). I installed one on my '07. The indash remote will change tracks, scroll the information (name of song or artist depending on how you set it up), and pause the iPod. I am happy with mine, bought it from Crutchfield.
