I think it depends on how big the wiring is to Amp #1 If it is larger than 8 guage you are probably OK If it is 8 Guage i think I would use an additiona 8 guage line to power it.
Run a new wire, the existing wire will be sized to support the existing amp. One of the biggest mistakes people make is running wire that is too small resulting in reduced amplifier output.
