2005 SANTE Ipod connection and operation????

Alright, this may be a dumb question, but I was wondering if I did something wrong this past weekend. For the first time, I tried to hook up my mp3 player to my stereo using the rca jacks mounted in the glove box next to the stereo. I bought the mini jack to RCA cable and hooked it up. I then turned the mp3 player on and selected AUX on the stereo. I got nothing at all. I turned up the mp3 player volume all the way, tried playing different songs, turned up the stereo volume, and still nothing. Whats wrong with my setup? What do I have to do to get it to play? Also, didnt the Clarion head units in the 2005 SANTE's come mp3 readable. I put in an mp3 CD that I burned and it wouldnt play that either.......what gives? Can someone help? Thanks

Did you put it in Aux. mode?

look under the "dash" and make sure the wiring is connected to the stereo from the aux inputs - I have a 2006 210 that I use an ipod on all the time through the aux inputs - the connection to the stereo comes apart on occasion
