Remote not working???

Hey guys, got a new 236 w/ team package. It came with this cool little remote that would come in super handy for me, and my dealer says it is even splash proof, cool! Only problem is it doesnt work? I check to see if it had a battery and I didnt really see where u could put one, but I didnt want to pull apart circuits and stuff. I have tried all its features and messed with the deck...it just doesnt seems to work...the boat is 3 weeks old so I dont see how it could be broken? Any ideas???? Maybe I have to sync it to the system or something? Thanks for the help!!!

Have the dealer check it when you take the boat in for 25 hour service. Call the dealer now, so you get this problem covered under warranty. Keep a "punch list" of any other problems you might have, to bring those to the dealers attention, too.

There should be a wireless remote receiver for it. The normal remote cable is Y-cabled to the original remote itself and the wireless remote receiver. Check if they installed the wireless remote receiver!

don't mean to go too far off topic here, but does anyone know if the clarion remotes can be submerged for a short time? i'm about to add one to my '86 and the spot that i think it would look best in is pretty low.....
