    sorry in advance..another stereo question

I bought a Sony marine amp to add to the stock stereo in my 2003 206 LTD.

I am going to install under the observers seat. What's the best way to route the power and ground from the battery compartment? I was thinking of wiring the front and rear speakers to the amp and leaving the mid-cabin running off the head unit (xmd1) What do you think?

I want to upgrade the stock speakers too - are the Polk db675's easy to install in the stock locations without a lot of modifications?

I read a lot of posts on this subject but just wanted some final confirmation.

    Thanks!

I ran my power wires back to the battery compartment by running them up around the front and back to the area behind the drivers kick panel, there is a slot there that goes down into the bilge and you can get your wires back to the battery box. There probably is a shorter route, but this way I didn't drill any holes in my boat.

If your amp is not strong enough to run all six speakers, and you had to leave one set attached to the head unit, I'd leave the bow speakers on the head unit and run the mid and rear cabin speakers off the amp. It would be better to amp all six speakers if you can do that with your amp.

I looked at the DB675s but decided they were too big to fit in the speaker pod locations so I went with the MMC650s.
