XDM1 upgrade

I have a 03 SAN and it has the stock XDM1 in it but it wont play cd's anymore and it just kind of sucks overall. I would like to upgrade it to something better. I know the XDM3 has rca inputs but I think I would also really like an MP3 cd player. I would really like to either use the stock driver side controls or get something that could use the ones that I have so I dont have to try and re-wire that as well. Any advice on an upgrade for it?

I have just the stock stereo and skylon tower cans w/ kicker speakers in them.

i'm lovin the CMD4! not sure if it is compatible with the the XMD1 remote though.....
of course, the CMD5 just came out so u might wanna look into that

i had the same problem with my xmd1 and got the xmd3 and wow what a differance that made . i have a 02 SA TE and replace the amps and sub. the kicker sub that CC put in was slack so i put a JL 10 in place and now it pounds. the xmd3 will hook up in the same place of the xmd1 any others will require modifation because they are smaller in size. hope this helps.

The CMD5 has mp3 cd input (as well as aux input for your I-pod). And it can be hooked up to the current remote control. Only downside to it. You have to modify the place you insert the cmd5 where the xmd1 was before. The CMD5 is a little bit smaller, not much.
