03 team stero ?

I have an 03 team w/ the kicker upgrade. I am putting in a new head unit b/c mine died. Anyways, on the stock sub w/ the old head unit it didn't seem to hit....at all. I adjusted the bass level on the amp some but it seems by looking at it, the sub is only hooked up to one channel on a stock 4 channel kicker amp. Is this typical? How much power can that kicker handle and how much power is the stock amp? And why on earth would they use a 4 channel amp only for a sub? Just wondering if this is the typical stock setup. It also seems that my stock interior speakers are not loud at all but I guess that might be due to the old XMD1.

typical setup was the 4 channel amp running the sub and four speakers - two channels bridged for the sub and two speakers on each of the remaining two channels - if you have two bow speakers they were wired to the head unit - CC added a smaller two channel amp to run tower speakers

hummm. for some reason i didnt see any other speaker wire going into my amp. I know it has tower speakers on it not from the factory and another blue amp (sorry dont know the brand didn't look) down there 2 running the 4 tower speakers. Maybe when he had that installed the unhooked the stock speakers from the amp?

I didnt do any of this the guy before me had someone install it. That is the only think i hate about not doing it my self is i dont know how it is setup and run.
