I am getting a 211 team this week (very excited!!) i have a question about the ipod connection on the radio, from the factory there is a hookup the salesman told me about for ipods in the glove box. if this is used can you control the ipod from the wired remote at the wheel? what is the sound quality of that connection point? do i need another interface? if not what are my options?

you need a cable that splits from the mini mirophone/earphone port on the ipod to go to the two rca style inputs on the boat - only controls you have are with the ipod itself - sound quality is fine - I just put the ipod on shuffle and leave it in the glove box - just work the volume and mute from the drivers controls2006 SANTE 210 (Pending Sale)

Get the IPod Interface
Get the Clarion IPod Interface, its the 1276 unit -just plug and play (30 second install). The 1251 has been superseded, so don't get it.
Gives you full access to unlimited number of playlists (contrary to many website details, its not just 6 playlists), artists etc from the head unit and it works with the CDM4A.
Provides full control over the IPod from the remote and your IPod stays safe away from prying eyes, dripping water etc. It also charges your IPod so the batteries never die.
Much better than a cable from the glove box.2021 GS22 - Lovin every minute of it
