Tower Speakers - Less space, More sound

I'm just about ready to order my tower speakers for a new 211. Seems that Wet Sounds or NVS are top notch since I want something that I'm sure the rider will hear well.

BUT - not for the sake of price, but as a question of SPACE and looks - I think that a pair of Entitys or Pro 485 takes up way too much room for my liking. I was thinking of getting maybe just 1 Entity or Pro 485. Or preferably getting a pair of Pro 80's or of NVS Addictions.

What should I expect from the above set-ups? Amp suggestions welcome as well.

As a reference, my friend has a set of stock JLs on his (Mastercraft) X-2. We can hear the music dead center while riding, but to me that's borderline.

You may have a problem mounting just one if you want it centered if your tower crossbars are similar to mine. The NVS can be heard very clearly behind the boat while not overwhelming in the boat.
