216 Team Edition stereo drain on battery

I am a newbie CC owner as I just purchased a 2006 216 TE, 25 hours young. After ski / wake board runs, we frequently sit on my pier listening to tunes and drinking beer. I am not used to having all the stereo electronics on a boat that are in the TE. How long am I able to listen without running down the battery?

On my 2007 216 TE, I'm able to go at least 1-2 hours with the volume at a level you can carry on a conversation at. I do know that somewhere between 4-5 hours, the stereo eats the battery juice to the point of needing to apply the charger (learned this one the hard way). As with all batteries, the older the battery, the smaller their storage capacity.

I recall hearing that the 2008 216 TE were going to have 2 batteries in them like CC's other TEs. Might have been WaterSki Mag. I haven't seen a '08 216 TE yet, so I can't confirm. (though I do recall that same issues stating that the '08 206 was on a TSC3 hull, which I thought was a mis-print).

Sounds like you've got the fever to get the boat in the water too. 8-)

You'll LOVE the boat. I can't think of a better boat Mfg than CC (and neither can JD Power) & the 216 is a great ski boat & also a decent wake boarding boat (had a wake boarding friend up last summer that liked my 216 DD better than his father-in-law's Malibu V-Drive). Between March 30 & Oct 28 '07, I put ~96 hours on my boat. 25 hours is like barely used, especially over 2 years.

If on Good Friday the 10-day forecast doesn't have any freezing temps in it, I think I'll dip mine in for its inaugural crank of '08. ... and then hop of the back & go skiing. :grin:
...the water is only 54 on Gaston (on the warm part of the lake) as I write this message, but that is what wet suits are for. 8-)

We start in dry suits in April as the water temp is under 50. There is still some ice on the lake but nothing very solid so I am hopeful that we can have an early start this year.
