How hard is it to put a 12in sub in place of the stock 10? Do you just have to cut out the hole a little in order to get the 12 mounted in there?

RE: 12in sub in 03 team
If you wanted the best performance possible out of your new 12 this is NOT the answer. These drivers are designed to run optimally in a certain amount of airspace which should be sealed (or ported but the box itself should still be free of leaks) .
In the event that you are not well versed in mobile audio you are far better off getting a professional car audio installer to have a look and recommend something. He should ask some questions regarding what you'd like to achieve (be it as much Sound Pressure Level ..SPL as possible OR clean bass that hits accurately) and make recommendations based on your responses.
Just be sure to remind the car audio guy that the MDF the enclosure is made from will HAVE to be COMPLETELY covered in resin of some kind to protect it from water damage.
Good luck.

RE: 12in sub in 03 team
well i do a lot of car audio stuff. I figured that the 10 now is in a a free air mount. I was thinking of just making an MDF box to put a sub in but then i also loose a lot of my storage space under there.
Just wanted to see how often that had been done and if it sounds like complete crap.
