Monster Towers Evid 6.2 Proaudio Speakers.

Has anyone tried these yet? They look like a good deal and I am considering them for my SV-211, but would like to here from someone who has tried them. Also if anyone has an idea on where to best install a sub on a 211 I would like to know your thoughts.

Thanks, I ordered them yesterday. I heard a lot of good things about them over on wakeboarder.com. They have stopped producing them because of price increases from the supplier but they have a few pair left. If you really want them I would suggest you make your move soon, I don't think they have but like 10 sets left.

Man O Man, I just finished hooking everything up. I now have the four cabin speakers on the Marine Audio Amp that came with the boat. I have the Evid 6.2's on the tower powered by an Orion 4004 which I have bridged at 200 watts per channel at 4 oms. I also have a Bazooka 10 inch HP subtube in my rear compartment, it has a built in 150 watt amp.

All I can say is that the sound from the tower speakers is awsome, I can't wait till tomorrow when I get it on the water to see what it sounds like behind the boat. I cranked it in the yard and walked 400 feet behind the boat and it was super loud and clear. I am very pleased with the sound quality.

I will try to snap some pic's this weekend of the install and how it looks on the water.

You never updated us on how they sound out on the water. Can you hear them clearly while boaring 75 or 80 feet away. Let us know how they worked out. Thanks!

They work great and are super load and clear. I am well pleased. To be honest (and I aint bragging, just stating a fact) I have yet to hear a set of tower speakers that I like better than these. I was boarding this past weekend (21 mph, 75 feet) with some AC/DC playing and it was load and clear back there. You can hear the music from these speakers while skiing at 36 MPH. If I had it to do over again I would buy them again.

Sounds like the speakers work well. I may try and buy a set off the internet and make them in to tower speakers since monster doesn't sell them anymore. Thanks for the update!

I had mine out yesterday for the first time. The Evids are very impressive but I cannot say that you hear them loud and clear while boarding, but they are way louder than any can speaker I have heard. I am anxious to see how they do when there is not much wind. They did seem to make the interior boat speakers pointless and I would not use them in any closed lake environment. A seperate volume control is essential, I use the PAC LC-1 in line to a dedicated amp.

Picked them up from e-bay for $250, brackets from Raul for $50, best $300 tower speakers in the world.

What kind of amp do you have running to the Evids? And you say you got the Evid 6.2's off of ebay? I have been looking for them and haven't been able to find anything.
