amp mounting

how is the stock amp mounted in an 03 team? mine looks like the have a board screwed into the wall of the boat, which after reading was prepared to be screwed into. Could I pull down that factory board and screw one in that is longer? Or should I just try and add another board next to the factory one?

The board you are talking about is not screwed in. I believe it is resigned in. On my 04 I just pulled back the carpet and resigned in another board.

yeah i was thinking about doing that, or doing it ghetto and conjoining another board to that existing one via those cool metal things you just put screws in.
