I want to put a second battery in my 02 sante just wondering if anyone has done this and where they put it.

I added a battery directly in the nose in my 01. An extra 40lbs way up in front definitely helps with the weight distribution. I think Grant's Air is an '02 and I think he put three additional batteries directly in the nose? Maybe he'll chime in here.

Grants boat is a direct drive, it previously had four blue tops in the bow, now he has four SeaVolt high capacity AGMs in the back.

Wasn't a second battery a factory option in 02? I would use the same location as the factory.

It may have been. The battery is now located under the port side rear seat. I will have to check with cc and see if they just put a second there. It kind of looks like there isn't much room.

My 99 had two on the starboard side in the front of the rear locker. Last summer I split them and put one on each side up on the ledge behind the corners on the rear behind the combing pad. I now have all the space of both lockers, and the weight balanced.

So you ran cable all the way to the very nose? Did you have a perko switch somewhere also?

I have mine in the nose too. I'm considering cutting out the built in bow cooler and installing an integrated bow sack under the seats and I'm not sure if the battery can stay. Does anyone have the Fly High integrated bow sack(http://www.buywake.com/catalog/detail/FL_Zgywr) and a battery up front? Ryan, that might be something to consider if you ever want to add the integrated bow sack.

I moved my battery to the dead space in front of the driver's feet, under the steering wheel. I think if you have a heater that space is used up though. I moved mine to accommodate the fly high sack under the front seats.

You can also use the space under the port side middle seat. The space is not a cooler and not a storage area -- something in between.

Jeff had an 03 with a second battery under a custom built seat on the starboard side. Here is his thread that his a wiring diagram. Grant's tri battery pic is also in the thread
