2016 Ram-Lin Trailer for G-Series Boats

Good on Ramlin again...with most G23s in the 8-8500lb range assuming 1600lbs of that is trailer.

Are they torsion axles or leaf springs? 9990 pound capacity. At last we see a dual axle trailer made to handle the G23.

I'm assuming torsion axles since you can't see any springs on the 4fh picture of Jeff's post. Not certain though.

That battery box is really low. On a steep ramp does it get water in it? If it shorts out, you won't have any brakes.

On the axle question, yes, they are torsion axles.

That is what Boatmate said when the trailer brakes shorted out (long story there). Boatmate took the trailer back and made a bracket to make the box higher. FYI. Been there done that. I float the boat on (back trailer under the boat until bow roller and bow eye meet). I have seen the hull trailer under water just to get the boat to float on. I love the electric hydraulic when they are working. Just sayin.

Jeff - are the axles welded or bolted on the Ramlin? I have had to replace two on the Boatmate, but the bolt makes sense.

No. If you back this trailer in to the point that the battery box is in the water, your trailer is WAY too deep.

Or your ramp is way too flat. It seems that the Wahweap Marina ramp is not steep enough. I may have to get pretty close to the bottom of the battery box to get the trailer deep enough at the rear to float the boat on.

Can anyone with a RamLin trailer give me the following details? I'm making some educated guesses based on a friends G21 trailer, but someone confirming this for me would be awesome. Thank you so much in advance!

- How far apart are the straight bunks in the back. (I'm guessing 34")
- How far apart are the straight bunks in the front. (I'm guessing 42")
- How long are the bunks? (I'm guessing 12')
- How far from the straight bunks to the roller? (I'm guessing 10')
- Clearance needed for prop? (I'm guessing 18")

That's a hefty trailer, weighing in at around 1,900 lbs (9,990 - 8,090). But that's to be expected to carry 8,000 lbs.
