Sadly, it has been about a year since I sold my lake cabin in Washington and moved home to San Diego. San Diego is great but I am really struggling with not having close access to a fresh water lake.
The closest area to ski or board near me is a lagoon located about 10 minutes from my house. I don't want to pay to store a boat and my garage is pretty tight (21ft deep) so I am toying with the idea of picking up a relatively inexpensive and small Ski Nautique 176 that I could run up and use in the salt water lagoon, hopefully with minimal hassle.
A small boat and getting gone the water is better than not getting to do it at all! My biggest concern is getting the boat in the garage. Attached is a pic taken from google (that may have to be copied and pasted) of the front of the house (taken prior to renovations) but the driveway is the same. My garage is on the right of the picture and I store an old Porsche in there as well (small 911).

I usually have enough room that I can approach from a bit of an angle. Does anything think I would have trouble (like scraping the prop guard or hitting the hitch) on the driveway backing it up? Its a pretty short run but I don't have any way of testing it out before actually buying a boat and trying it. I can tow with my daily QX4 or my wife's Touareg.
