I apologize if this topic has been discussed already, as I am a new member. I am about to order a new 230 and was curious about the Ramp-N-Clamp system for the Boatmate Trailers. I like the idea, since my wife doesn't have to get down on the slippery ramp at night to latch the boat up. The only downside to me is the look of the lengthened eye on the front of the boat. Does anyone have experience with this product? Good/bad? Thank you!

I purchased and installed a ramp-n-clamp for my MasterCraft trailer and loved it.... Worked awesome compared to boat buddy, ramp-n-clamp does not leave marks on the hull.
When we purchased my 2015 Malibu 22 VLX we bought a boatmate trailer and after a few times at the boat ramp without ramp-n-clamp I purchased one and installed it and the results where awesome. Ramp-n-clamp is so easy to use, one person operation etc.
We are purchasing a NEW 2017 Nautique G23 with a boatmate trailer and we speced it with ramp-n-clamp. We affectionately call the ramp-n-clamp "the marriage saver" its really as easy as the videos they show.
Its one of the single best invention made for boat trailers and at a reasonable price $149.00 I will never purchase another boat trailer without one.

Xstreamws...thank you SO much for your comment! We ordered our boat yesterday and DID order the Ramp-N-Clamp system. One of the techs at the dealership said the only downside to the system is that you have to be lined up perfectly. They have seen some broken systems from people hitting it at a bad angle. I guess it's pretty hard to do with a lot of wind and waves?? Thoughts? I think it still sounds better than putting my wife on a slippery, steep ramp in the middle of the evening. The only downside for me is the eye hook on the front of the boat being so long...kind of ugly, but I think I can get over it. Do you know if the G23 will come with the longer eye hook? The dealer didn't think the factory would do that, they would have to do it at the dealer when it comes in.

I had one on the MC X-2/MC trailer, it worked very well 80% of the time. I towed the boat from SC to California and stopped at a lot of lakes and rivers across the country and once and a while we would find a ramp that was at a weird angle and it wouldn't work, but i am sure if we boated at the same place a lot you could find that sweet spot of trailer depth for that specific ramp combo.
Quinner, we did have to power load the boat, I've never owned a boat with a colored bottom, but cringe at the thought of doing it with a dark colored bottom.

Sorry I'm late to this party. We added the RnC to our 89 setup. We did quite a bit to mod our trailer to get it to fit in the garage. here is the thread over at CCF that I posted with pics: http://www.correctcraftfan.com/forum...r-modification
I'm not sure if the bow eyes are the same on all nautiques or if our sport is special, the eye is considerably higher than on MCs., so the rub rail ends up hitting the RnC and has rubbed a little. And when I was teaching a friend how to load a boat, he missed the RnC and rubbed the hull against the side and it scraped up the pin striping (not the end of the world to me). He was very apologetic. One other drawback (more of an ID-10-T error) was that if you don't flip the lever before launching, it will bind up the mechanism as the weight of the boat is farther back. You have to pull the boat out and use momentum to slide the boat up a little to relieve that pressure.
To address Quinner's comment, it is true that you need to power load it to a certain extent. However, when we tested the RnC at our launch specifically in a non-powered state, the bunks were a problem before the RnC. We had to back in a lot farther which changed the angle so the rub rail prevented us from getting it all the way on. We pulled the boat out of the water and let momentum slide the boat the rest of the way. One suggestion was to add a "V" to help bring the bow up for those kinds of conditions. We haven't felt the need to add that mod at this time.
After using it this entire season, when at busy launches, my wife backs in the trailer and the comments about how quick, easy, and awesome our retrieval is, they generally come over and ask what we are using. If/when I buy another boat, this will be the RnC will be the first purchase made.

Following back up on this, I used my new Boatmate with Ramp-N-Clamp twice this back weekend and absolutely LOVE IT! No need to get on the slippery ramps anymore. The trailer still came with the traditional wench system as a backup, so that's nice.
